Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

1) What Hardware do you use?
We only use 100% enterprise class Supermicro servers, owned by us and hosted in our own full 42U Racks. We do not skimp out on any component, from ECC RAM to Raid-Edition drives and Hardware RAID, connected to a 100% Cisco powered BGP4 network.

2) What Xen version do you use?

Our senior technical staff are subscribed to all of the Xen mailing lists, and keep ontop of the latest technologies, bugs and security issues. We currently deploy an optimized Xen stack based on 3.4.3

2) Do you provide custom reverse dns records?
Yes, they can be set from inside SolusVM.

3) What support is included with my VPS?
All VDS are 100% Unmanaged. This means we provide support for hardware issues and network issues only.

4) Do you allow IRC/Bittorrent/Warez Linking?
No. IRC/Bittorrent/Warez along with any activities in breach of UK law will be terminated. Legal Adult content is allowed.

5) How is CPU allocated?
CPU is allocated by Xen's fair-share credit scheduler. Unlike many VDS providers, we believe that CPU should scale with the size of a VD. Otherwise a VPS with 4GB RAM has the same guaranteed CPU power as a VDS with 128MB RAM! All VDS can burst upto the full power of the host machine.

6) Do I get Burst RAM?
No, Xen HVM behaves just like a real dedicated server. If you choose one of our AutoInstallers, you will have a 1GB Swap file by default.

7) What payment methods do you accept?
